Australian Horticulture Trade adds Mike Tyler and Nick Makris to board of directors

Two new additions join the experienced board of the representative body for Australia’s horticultural importers and exporters

Australian Horticulture Trade has announced the appointment of Mike Tyler, general manager sales of Freshmax National, and Nick Makris, export sales manager citrus of Costa Group, to its board of directors.

The peak industry body for Australian horticultural exporters and importers of fresh produce announced the changes following its annual general meeting on 15 October.

Tyler and Makris replace outgoing board members Saxon Call, ValleyFresh and Campbell Banfield, Bloom Fresh.

Lesley Shield, CEO of AHT, welcomed the additions and thanked the outgoing board members for their contributions.

“AHT believes that we have a good combination of new directors as well as experienced directors on the board. All board members have a wealth of experience in the horticulture trade,” said Shield.

AHT’s annual industry forum will be held on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, the first of two online sessions.
