AHT Chairman, Joe Saina and CEO, Lesley Shield had the privilege of meeting with DAFF Secretary Adam Fennessy on Friday 7 June.
Frank and open discussions were held with Adam who was very interested to hear about the issues affecting all our members.
Adam has a huge job ahead of him, as it isn’t just Horticulture he is responsible for. Since Adam’s appointment as Secretary to DAFF in September 2023, he has been taking the time to meet with all sectors of the agricultural industry. He has been listening to each sector’s relevant issues, which sometimes have a common theme.
In the hour that Joe and Lesley had with Adam, some of the topics discussed included Offshore Preclearance, DocHub, DAFF Staffing and Service.
Adam is keen to meet more of our industry members in the future.
